The Old Mule

A view from my back porch…

  I still say there is nothing that takes the place of a wood fire in the morning warming up the old farmhouse for another day of adventure. Or the smell of smoke filtering up through the early skies bringing full circle the fact that winter is still among us for a while longer. Laid back or not the farm before you know it will awaken from the cold rainy mist of February to usher in the next best round propelling us further along this great path called life. I think that this among other things is my reminder that just being a part of it is one blessing, but to see it unfold is another. That my friends are the wings that fly us above any clouds that hang to close. Who knows but I suspect the smoke from my fireplace will reach above the clouds first. Then maybe I`m already there in thoughts and mind………………………..Dan
