The Old Mule

A view from my back porch…

  There is nothing like the smell of fresh hay in the barn, but the prize this morning goes to the sun rising above the old barn roof. Right there is proof enough if one looks as blessings beam down one ray at a time. The beginning of another day as it springs forward in time circles the farm this morning making way for more memories with each path taken. For those who always take the hurried roads to speed down never finding much if anything in the wake of self searching just go on ahead. I`ll pace myself at a slower speed taking in the views that might not ever be seen again. To miss even one would be a sad day in Dixie…………………………………Dan
